Life at Mission Financial Planning - Meet JaredSubmitted by Mission Financial Planning on January 3rd, 2020
When I was in college, people always asked, “What are you going to do with a Psychology degree?”
I would reply, “I want to help people.”
This mantra held true for the next twenty years and I find myself still grateful today for having followed that path. Although, I would not have been able to pay off my student loans with my initial chosen occupation, the experience and insight I gained as a social worker is truly invaluable.
Understanding our fellow human beings and developing empathy and compassion are the cornerstones for any type of human services career. However, I also believe the best physicians, dentists, lawyers, teachers, and business executives all have an underlying desire to relate to those that they have chosen to help.
I left the traditional counseling world over two decades ago, yet in each role I’ve played since, I have carried these core values with me: Understand my client, discover the need, work together on a solution, and do no harm.
These things allow us to leave every situation a little better than how we found it and enjoy a life as well as a career.
I'm excited and grateful to be joining Mission Financial Planning!
